Q. What is erosion control?
A. Erosion and sediment control is the process by which we reduce or limit theamount of pollutants entering our streams, lakes and waterways. It also prevents any soil from moving and causing hazardous conditions.

Q. Is Erosion control just controlling dirt or soil from getting into the storm?
A. No, erosion and sediment control also extends to construction debris, gravel, grass clippings, oil, gasoline, mulch, anti-freeze, leaves, and snow, just to name a few. Any of these materials is a danger to our water quality if they are allowed to enter lakes, streams, and waterways.

Q. What are some methods of erosion control?
A. The most common methods of erosion control or Best Management Practices, (BMP's)are silt fence, hay bales, sediment baskets and stone access pads.


Q. Do I have to hire other contractors for any of the process?
A. No, Erosion Control Specialists, Inc. has skilled, motivated employees ready to complete the job to your Satisfaction.


Q. Is a permit required?
A. Yes, anytime land is disturbed, a permit is necessary. Erosion Control Specialists, Inc. takes full responsibility for all permits and legal processes.

Q. What areas do you service?
A. We are currently set up to service: Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Q. Are there any hidden costs or set up fees that I need to know about?
